In 2022, in addition to consolidating the maturity and credibility gained in recent years, Agendrix has taken a significant step in a new direction: HR Management of front-line employees.

In our 2021 Year in Review, we indicated our strategic positioning as a reference in HR best practices.

One year later, we are inspiring the marketplace with our own ways of doing things as well as offering our clients personnel management tools that allow them to put their employees at the heart of their management.

2022 was marked by the launch of several new modules in Agendrix, of course, but also by a serious effort to increase our credibility through two internationally recognized standards. Through ISO/CEI 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certifications, we enhanced our information security and privacy practices.

Several changes also took place within the company. In light of our growth, our sales and customer success departments have become more specialized. We have emphasized the internationalization of Agendrix and expansion toward English-speaking markets.

A controlled growth that even exceeds expectations

In 2022, the company’s revenue growth increased by 60% compared to the previous year: we are ending the year with annual recurring revenue of nearly 8 million dollars.

This growth has resulted in 15 new hires, bringing the total number of employees to 45, as well as a specialization of the departments within the organization.

The company’s growth (291% in 3 years) has not gone unnoticed. We are honored to be ranked 155th among Canada’s fastest growing companies by the Globe and Mail.

In Quebec, L’Actualité magazine highlighted Agendrix’s progress, placing us 27th among Quebec’s 50 growth leaders.

Our ever-growing customer base explains these numbers: in 2022, we topped the milestone of 150,000 users in over 13,000 workplaces. 🙌

More than ever an ally for your staff management

2022 was a year of innovation and new features, marked by five major launches, four of which were our first HR modules. 🥳

These value-added features for customers have transformed Agendrix from a time and attendance software to a complete workforce management solution. Which was exactly the main objective that we set for this year at the end of 2021.

Onboarding

The onboarding module supports managers in welcoming their new employees. Knowing how crucial onboarding is to employee retention, we believe this module is a must to streamline and improve this process.

Onboarding includes gathering useful information about new hires, as well as sending a welcome message and getting to know them better.

People Data

The People Data module was developed to bring all your employees’ personal information into one convenient location. From allergies to emergency contacts, education level to reason for resignation, you can now use Agendrix to record all the information about each member of your team.

With People Data, it is possible to customize the information that the organization wants to collect: the module adapts according to the needs of the managers. The data entered can then be used to filter schedules and produce reports.

High Fives

The High Fives module was developed to promote a people-centered corporate culture where celebrating with colleagues is easier than ever.

We recognize the importance of making employee recognition a standard practice in the workplace. It was therefore natural for us to offer a tool that promotes this.

The High Fives module allows employees and managers to celebrate their small day-to-day victories by exchanging short messages of recognition (private or public) directly on Agendrix.

Surveys

Job satisfaction has a significant impact on employee retention and loyalty. The only way to know the level of satisfaction of a team is to survey people regularly to get their feedback.

This is how our Surveys module was born, which allows managers to create surveys (anonymous or not) to send to their team. This module also includes customizable survey templates written by our experts and ready to use. These templates are divided into different categories, for example, mental health, workplace wellness, training feedback, diversity and inclusion.

Schedule management, accessible as never before

At the end of 2022, we launched the mobile feature most requested by our customers: mobile schedule management.

This update allows users to manage their employee schedules directly on their smartphone. An on the go version that is nicer and easier to use than ever. 👌

Also, several actions are now available for managers on the mobile app:

  • Create and edit shifts
  • View and update employee schedules
  • See the list of changes ready to be published
  • Publish a new schedule or changes to an existing schedule
  • Create and edit notes for the day

Operations worthy of a world-class company

This year, the ISO certification process–an internationally recognized standard certification–has been a significant part of the Agendrix landscape. For us, taking data security to the next level was a priority. The choice to seek these certifications reflects our strong sense of responsibility when it comes to security and privacy issues.

Result: hundreds of hours were invested in a (long 😅) process that led to two certifications: ISO/CEI 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019.

ISO 27001: this standard aims to improve information security within the company. For our customers, this means that Agendrix is stronger, that our internal processes are robust, and that our products meet the highest standards of information security.

ISO 27701: this standard provides a framework for the management and handling of our customers’ personal information and sensitive data. When our customers use our application, they trust in our secure handling of their personal information. This standard assures them that we are adhering to the best practices and laws in this regard.

We successfully completed all the necessary audits to obtain these certifications and are waiting for official confirmation from the authority, which should come soon. It’s the best way to start the next year with strength! 🚀

The team, our “best feature”

Our team remains at the heart of our success and all our decisions, as it has been since our start in 2015, when we were less than 10 employees (we’re now 45 🎉).

While the number of hires is increasing, our retention rate remains close to perfection!

Challenging our HR practices as often we can

In 2022, we have not lost our good habit of questioning our internal practices regularly.

In our opinion, it remains imperative for us to offer competitive working conditions and, above all, focus on the right benefits: those that truly meet the needs of our team.

In 2022, we increased our employer’s RRSP contribution from 2% to 4% and introduced an annual sports allowance of 300 dollars per employee. We also added 3 more wellness days to the 2 that were already in place and offer access to a corporate pass for 2 people (unlimited skiing) at Mont Orford, in the Eastern Townships.

Agendrix certified Great Place to Work

Over the last years, we put a lot of effort to build one of the best tech corporate cultures in Quebec. An objective evaluation of our practices and improvements was therefore necessary to establish what comes next.

That’s why in 2022 we decided to undergo the Great Place to Work certification program. It’s the best-known independent certification in Canada on the matter.

By obtaining this certification, we’re strengthening our employer brand externally, while comparing ourselves to the best cultures of the industry. All in order to keep getting better.

Always there for managers

To honor our mission to make management human-centric, we offer managers relevant, high-quality HR content. In 2022, we accelerated the pace and created over 50 new blog posts (in English and in French) and about 10 free resources.

2023 promises another, even bolder step forward as we aim to produce even more articles in both languages.

Our Care Committee turned 3 years old in 2022 🥳 and the motivation of the troops has not lost any momentum, on the contrary!

Care: a moment of history

In 2019, we created the Green Committee with the goal of implementing environmentally sound habits within the company and getting involved in environmental protection initiatives.

After a first volunteering activity later that year, we clearly saw the team’s enthusiasm for making a positive impact. All wanted to go even further.

Since then, the committee (now named Care) has been an integral part of our sustainable development plan and reflects our eagerness to get involved and do our part for both the environment and our community.

This year, Agendrix donated 12,000 dollars to local causes and organizations such as Centraide, Movember, Moisson-Estrie, La Fondation du Séminaire de Sherbrooke, Le Fond des Millepattes.

Our team also took part in several community outreach activities, such as a race, a pocket tournament and a waste collection run.

For the first time this year: in order to support education and encourage values that are important to us, we created a scholarship in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering of the Université de Sherbrooke. The Prix innovation d’équipe – Agendrix encourages innovation, quality work and team collaboration, among other things.

2023: International growth and progression of the HR suite

As you might have seen in the media, 2023 is poised to be a more difficult year economically. What makes us proud is knowing that Agendrix is established enough to handle it.

Moreover, the coming year promises to be no less exciting than the last for us. Agendrix is now a complete software solution for the management of front-line employees that meets many personnel management needs. And we don’t intend to stop here.

For 2023, the development of new products that ease managers’ work remains a priority. We will also continue to innovate and fully promote our main offer of schedule management.

The last eight years saw us reach an interesting level of maturity. We are confident and ready to take our place even more seriously in the international market. At the heart of our priorities and our strategic plan is the exploration of new markets, including European and English-speaking regions, remains.

It is filled with gratitude for 2022 that we bring this part of our story to a close. We are ready for the next chapter.
