Ten Years of Agendrix and How a Clear Vision Became a Reality
A simple formula, carefully orchestrated: a few young tech entrepreneurs, an experienced business owner, a clear vision, and a product built to do things right and to do them simply.
And here we are ten years later. Here are some of the defining moments of our story.
- 2014: The year everything began, shaped by a shared dream to create a simple, fast, and above all user-friendly tool that people would genuinely enjoy using.
- 2015: The official launch of Agendrix. The founding team devotes itself fully to the project and starts turning the idea into a working solution.
- 2018: A complete brand refresh and a milestone year as Agendrix reaches its first million in revenue, confirming the strength of the product and the momentum behind the team. Several new employees join during this period.
- 2021: New partners join and a 4.2 million dollar investment allows the co-founders to regain majority ownership and reaffirm the long-term vision of Agendrix.
- 2023: The platform expands into a true HR product, strengthening Agendrix as an all-in-one solution and marking an important turning point in the evolution of its features.
- 2024: Agendrix joins the international organization The Citation Group, a major step that accelerates the company’s growth and supports broader international expansion.
- 2025: Several new features are added to enrich the app and lighten administrative HR work, including the vacation planner, shared document signing, and tip distribution.
- And looking ahead: With solid foundations in place, we are well positioned to keep building a complete, simple HR tool rooted in the everyday reality of managers.

Key Moments of 2025
Behind every new feature, several internal changes and standout moments helped strengthen our organization, improve how we work, and support our growth. Here are a few highlights that shaped our year.
Agendrix Once Again Named One of the Best Workplaces in Canada
This year, Agendrix was recognized among the top ten Best Workplaces in Quebec by Great Place to Work, a distinction that means a great deal to us. It highlights something simple yet essential: our team is at the heart of everything we do.
Over the years, we have made well-being a genuine priority, not just an intention. This comes through in our practices, our flexibility, our benefits, and the way we collaborate every day. Our goal has always been the same, which is to create an environment where everyone feels supported, respected, and able to do their best work.
This award encourages us to keep investing in our culture, to grow without losing our humanity, and to protect what makes us so strong: a team that is committed, caring, and proud to contribute to a mission that truly matters.
AI as a Daily Driver of Efficiency
Questioning how we work has been part of our DNA from the start, and the arrival of AI is no exception. Instead of resisting it, we saw AI as an opportunity to learn, experiment, and improve our processes.
Today, this technology helps us work more efficiently while giving us more time to support our users and deliver a friendly, human experience.
Here’s how every team at Agendrix now leverages AI:
- Product Development: Cursor and Claude Code speed up code generation, and Bugbot catches side effects before we even notice them. We have also automated many internal processes with n8n, from managing on-call developer schedules to generating well-documented Jira tickets. This is on top of several initiatives that have helped improve the quality and stability of the app in general.
- Customer Success: AI has transformed the way we support our users. For example, Fin, our Intercom chatbot, is involved in about 60% of support conversations and resolves 80% of them with a 90% satisfaction rating. This gives the team more time to focus on complex situations and to create helpful resources such as Help Center articles.
- Sales and Partnerships: Fireflies automatically summarizes video calls with customers, turns notes into clear action items, and identifies each customer’s specific needs so nothing gets missed. This helps us keep track of every commitment and structure our analyses more effectively.
- Marketing: AI allows us to adapt our ads much more quickly for our audiences in Canada, Quebec, and France. Research for blog articles is also faster, and before publication, each article is reviewed by an AI agent that optimizes it for natural search performance in SEO and GEO alike.
- Administration: AI simplifies the preparation of biannual employee evaluations, for example when summarizing performance. We also use assisted writing for internal communications such as announcements, policy updates, job descriptions, and job postings.
Launching Agendrix in the United Kingdom
We spent a large part of the year adapting our product to the specific needs of Altas, the HR, health, and safety application of the Citation Group. This foundational work brought several teams together and ensured a strong and reliable experience from day one.
Only a few months after the launch, more than ten thousand users in the United Kingdom were already active on the platform. This expansion strengthened our international presence and confirmed the relevance of our solution in a variety of markets.
Welcoming Timetastic to the Team
Since November, the Timetastic team has officially joined Agendrix, which now leads the Workforce Management division of the Citation Group. Their expertise, product, and culture fit naturally with our vision. Their small team, based in the United Kingdom, now contributes directly to our shared mission of offering simple and effective HR tools that meet the real needs of small and medium-sized businesses.
New Features Inspired by Real Workplace Needs
The needs of managers are evolving, and so is our app. In 2025, we continued building Agendrix into a complete HR solution that is simple to use and genuinely suited to the daily reality of SMBs.
Directly shaped by our customers’ feedback, these new features address concrete challenges and make everyday management simpler.
Team Library eSignature
No more back and forth or paper forms. Managers can now send a document for employees to sign and easily track who has completed it. Reminders are automated, signatures are secure, and the document is locked once finished. It is an efficient way to centralize and speed up HR paperwork without printing anything.
Role-Based Schedule Creation
This new view lets managers build schedules based on the staffing needs of each role rather than starting from individual employees. This helps them quickly verify that every role has proper coverage. Available directly in the schedule, it offers a simple and familiar way to structure staffing based on real workplace needs.
Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
Security has always been a priority for us, and multifactor authentication is another step toward making the app even more secure. This option adds an extra layer of protection to user accounts by requiring an additional verification during login. It is a simple way to strengthen data security without adding any complexity to a manager’s day.
Revamped Time Off Banks
Time off banks have been simplified to better reflect the day-to-day reality of managers. The request interface has also been clarified, and several new options now allow managers to exclude specific days such as holidays, apply annual entitlements or accruals, and configure banks in hours or days depending on organizational needs. Automatic time off now covers a wider range of use cases. Overall, this update delivers a more intuitive absence management experience that is better aligned with internal policies.
Employee Templates
Employee templates make it easy to standardize the creation of new profiles in Agendrix. They centralize the key information and settings that need to be applied as soon as a new person joins an organization, which reduces oversights and speeds up onboarding. It is a simple way to keep data consistent and save time when bringing new people in. This is especially useful for seasonal workers.
Revamped Document Management
This module has been completely redesigned to make it easier to manage the documents associated with each employee. Contracts, internal policies, and certificates, to name a few, can now be added, organized, and viewed more easily directly from the employee profile. Everything is centralized, and role-based access permissions make everyday document management clearer and smoother.
Mobile Dashboard for Managers
Designed for managers who are always on the move, the mobile dashboard brings all essential information together in one place. Attendance, pending requests, important notes, and more take only seconds to access. The quick action button lets managers create a shift, approve a time off request, or add a note in a single step.
Vacation and Leave Planner
This visual vacation tracking tool makes it much easier to manage vacations and absences. Managers can instantly see who is off, who has submitted a request, and where conflicts may arise. They can also approve or decline requests directly from the calendar. Each type of leave is clearly labeled, which makes planning simpler, more transparent, and much less stressful.
Weather Forecasting
Designed for restaurants and retail businesses, the weather forecast feature lets managers view the weather forecast directly while building schedules, making it easier to plan staffing around factors like foot traffic and outdoor seating.
Timesheet Signatures
Specifically in France, employers are required by law to have employees sign their timesheets. This process can now be fully automated in Agendrix. There is no need to print timesheets anymore, and no need to collect signatures manually.
Tip Pooling Management
Tip pooling can get complicated quickly, especially when tips need to be shared fairly among team members. Agendrix now handles the entire process for you, using your company’s own tip distribution rules.
Performance and Security Always Come First
The reliability of the app and the protection of user data have always been core priorities for us. In 2025, we continued to improve Agendrix to make it faster, more stable, and aligned with leading information security practices.
Faster Schedule Planner
The schedule planner is the largest and one of the most frequently used modules in the app, and also one of the most technically demanding. This year, we optimized its performance, making it about 20% faster. This improvement translates into a noticeably smoother experience for managers, especially during busy scheduling periods.
ISO 27001 Certification
We completed a full ISO 27001 recertification, the international standard that sets best practices for information security management. We also upgraded to the 2022 version of the standard. This confirms that our processes, tools, and controls meet high and internationally recognized standards for protecting user data.
Customer Service That Meets Our Standards
Offering a great product is essential, but it’s not enough for us. We want the experience that comes with it to measure up, with service that is fast, attentive, and aligned with the same quality standards as our app.
Here are a few indicators and customer comments that reflect this commitment.
- Customer satisfaction rate: 97.7%
- Support response and resolution time: 3m 31s
